Amateur driving have been part of harness racing since the sport's inception.
Anyone that has the desire and ability can be an amateur driver. Today's club members are
engineers, computer professionals, lawyers, nurses, cab drivers, teachers, bakers, etc..

New England Amateur Harness Drivers Club (NEAHDC) was formed in 2001, and in July of
2002 conducted its first matinee race. NEAHDC has since expanded its racing schedule to
include its first amateur pari-mutual race conducted on May 22, 2004!



Events

-All races are conducted in accordance with USTA
and Mass State Racing Commission and NEAHDC Rules.

-To participate in club races, the driver must hold
a USTA license of "P" or higher for the parimutuel races.

Club Dues
Annual dues are for $50.00 for new members and $25.00 for renewing members.
The renewal dues are due on April 26, 2010,
while new members must become NEAHDC members PRIOR to their first race.

The club is non-profit and the dues will be used to pay legal,
race premiums and other administrative costs.
